Welcome to the Miami Valley Chapter of Ohara School of Ikebana. If you are looking through our website, you are at a door to the world of Ikebana, an entrance to a new experience with flowers. If you are already a member of Ohara Ikebana somewhere in the world, please enjoy our members' works in the Gallery.
The Ohara School of Ikebana curriculum is designed to be progressive. The concept and techniques you learn at one level of qualification prepare you for the next.
Every year our chapter hosts a one-day seminar. Please see Events for information on past seminars.
Our members travel to Japan and across the United States to meet new friends and learn japanese flower arranging. Each year, Headmaster Hiroki Ohara and/or the Ohara professors travel to the United States to teach us new material and reinforce our skills. We enjoy the art of fellow members and exchanging information about flowers, plants and trees. Once you immerse yourself in Ohara Ikebana, you are surrounded by beautiful flowers and branches, artistic containers, alluring fragrances, and people who enjoy Ikebana just like you.
